Enjoy a captivating musical experience commemorating 30 years of South African democracy, from its inception to the present day. This special production, presented during Africa Month, is led and composed by the internationally acclaimed percussionist, chromatic marimba player, vibraphonist, multi-instrumentalist, and educator, Bongani Sotshononda.
Alongside a nine-piece orchestral ensemble featuring a diverse group of internationally recognized South African musicians, Sotshononda brings an electrifying performance that showcases the evolution of music over the past few decades and into the 21st century.
The full ensemble includes: Bongani Sotshononda on chromatic marimba and vocals, Lonwabo Diba Mafani on piano and vocals, Janna Khweis on violin, Ruby Truter on vocals, Seul Pearl Jung on cello, Lerato Skhosana on acoustic guitars, Stephen De Souza on double bass, Keketso Bolofo on percussion, and Kurt Bowers on drums.
