The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) presents their Summer Symphonies at the City Hall, inviting renowned conductors and soloists to perform works by respected composers.
This fourth instalment of the series is titled 'Rococo and Romance' and features distinguished musical conductor Bernhard Gueller, with exceptionally talented Serbian cellist, Maja Bogdanović as soloist.
The programme features performances of Tchaikovsky's 'Variations on a Rococo Theme' and Bruckner's 'Symphony No. 4 in E-flat, “Romantic”'. This concert also features a curtain raiser performance by the Cape Town Philharmonic Youth (CPYO), conducted by Liam Burden as they perform Arthur Feder's 'Miniature Suite'.
