The Festival offers a range of special events and farm activities to suit every taste.

Guests are invited to join Boschendal's expert farming team on an authentic Citrus Picking Experience in the farm's orchards. There are several time slots available each day, offering guided groups the chance to pick fresh, sustainably-grown citrus. Costs includes a bottle of water and 1kg of citrus to take home.

In addition, Boschendal is hosting a morning market next to the orchards on both dates, with a selection of citrus inspired food, award winning Boschendal wines, as well as a selection of clothing and jewellery stalls, with tractor rides and face painting for kids. Entrance is free and all are welcome.

Another event guests can take part in is the Squeeze, Zest and Preserve Workshop, where Brenda from Brenda's Preserves teaches the finer art of using farm-fresh citrus to make glühwein, marmalade, cordial and more. The workshop is be hosted at the Olive Press. A ticket includes all ingredients, a snack and welcome drink, and a take home gift.

For those with culinary interests at heart, Boschendal's Citrus Masterclass chef demonstration experience and 5 course lunch is a great option. Hosted by Boschendal's Executive Chef Eric Bulpitt, guests gain first-hand experience on how to make a seasonal, citrus inspired meal using farm-fresh citrus from the nearby orchards. Offering a rare opportunity to enter the farm kitchen and see the expert culinary team at work, this intimate event also includes a 5 course meal paired with award winning Boschendal wines, and a citrus inspired gift to take home.

Finally, the Citrus Festival will culminate in a Long Table Lunch. Guests are invited to enjoy a three-course menu inspired by the finest tastes from this year's harvest, hosted in the cosy indoor confines of the Olive Press venue.
