Baby Grand Burlesque Festival is an unprecedented annual showcase of South Africa's best of the best Burlesque dancers, taking place on 3 December.
International and South African professional Burlesque Artistes take to the stage to compete for the title of Queen and show guests all that the world of Burlesque has to offer.
Baby Grand Burlesque Festival offers a premier Burlesque experience, which honours this art-form for its timeless elegance and historical significance. Artistes from South Africa and abroad apply for the opportunity to perform at Baby Grand to benefit their professional repertoires and represent, authentically, this art-form as one worthy of exceptional celebration.
Surrounded by plush theatre seats and gold-framed stage, a glowing bar and all the splendor of art-deco opulence, the prestigious Roxy Revue Bar at GrandWest, Cape Town is the perfect choice of venue to have partnered with for the sixth and biggest South African Burlesque Festival to date.

The Debutante Ball will showcase Artistes battling it out for the title of Best Debut. This category is for up-and-coming performers looking to cement themselves as forces in the Burlesque and entertainment scene. With renewed energy and vibrancy, this event hopes to catapult the competitors into stardom. This year the Debutante Ball features Burlesque Headliner Baby Ray from Cape Town, SA.

The Battle Royale showcases prestigious Artistes battling it out for one of three titles – Miss Sheba Tease (Favorite Tease), Miss Hot Licks (Favorite Choreography) and Miss Glad Rags (Favorite costume). This category is for seasoned professionals who are looking to join an elite group of Burlesque legends who have perfected their craft. This year the Battle Royale features International Burlesque Headliner Peekaboo Pointe from New York City, USA.
Baby Grand Burlesque Festival continues to push the boundaries of professional Burlesque in South Africa by having the audience vote for the crowning of their four Burlesque Queens. The winners are crowned at the end of each show respectively. The winners may wear their titles until their 2023 event.
